India should build a Taj Mahal for Hasina: Rizvi

BNP’s Senior Joint Secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi today said India is trying to bring Sheikh Hasina back to power.
“India is saddened by Sheikh Hasina’s escape. It has suffered immensely because of Hasina’s ouster. India is trying to bring Sheikh Hasina back to the country and to power,” he said while speaking as chief guest at Shaheed Zia Memorial Football Tournament at the Shaheed Abul Kashem College ground in the Barabari area of Lalmonirhat this afternoon.
He said, “Our leader Begum Khaleda Zia remained in the country after facing a prison term. But Sheikh Hasina fled to India, leaving behind her leaders and activists. This is the difference between them.”
The Indian media is spreading propaganda about Bangladesh for Hasina.
“I will tell this to India. If it has so much affection for Sheikh Hasina, it should build a Taj Mahal for her,” Rizvi said.
Pointing to the interim government, he said, “There are many conspiracies. We have to be vigilant. A fair election is needed soon to bring back democracy in the country.”
The AL was in power for the last 16 years without any fair election. AL gave its own people the opportunity to loot killing democracy, he said.
The BNP leader said Hasina killed thousands to remain in power and tortured opposition members.
“She ran the country as she looted banks… Now she is trying to destablise the country by ordering AL leaders and activists from India,” he said.
