    Description

    Welcome to my ebay store
I will be adding A LOT of dolls this month, all from an estate collection for a friend, and most bagged, kept stored for years by owner. Do check back as I add them daily! In addition I am downsizing MY collection, and selling BARBIE items for 3 clients so DO be sure to follow my store!
This listing is for a really WONDERFUL WOOD Schoenhut doll, circa 1911-1912,  known as the Schoenhut ALL WOOD PERFECTION ART DOLL. Depending on the clothing this doll could be dressed as a boy or girl imo. I call it she because it was wearing a dress. This doll as been stored for years in a box along with MANY other wonderful dolls I am listing for a friend so please do check back. I washed (by hand) the dress and bonnet, and ironed ribbons and dress. As you can see, the ribbon on dress ties perfectly matches ribbon on Bonnet, it is rare to find an original Schoenhut outfit on a doll!
She is clean and super pretty now. Her original blonde wig (same shade) was reduced to a threadbare wig cap for the most part, SO I gave her a vintage hand made high quality wig from my doll dr. stash that fit and suited her perfectly. Most of these dolls had short hair, usually a bob with bangs and this was the best match. You can always hunt for a mohair bob style or longer that you can trim to fit but I am selling her with this wig so all buyer needs is socks and shoes! The original shoes are hard to find, you can get repros with the holes in bottom but often they don't work with the antique stands with the pegs so you can just put oilcloth shoes on her and use a reg. doll stand imo.
She is 17" tall, I am not sure what her model # was-- if she had one, I didn't think her face was as full as dolly model but experts can let me know.
She has her ORIGINAL PAINT unretouched!! in overall pretty excellent condition as you can see in photos, and other than a rub off the nose and a few scuffs she looks as typical. Holes in the feet for the original stand. She is nice and wonderfully tight to hold any pose, check out the photos; and has an early, possibly original cotton dress and a crocheted bonnet, which is a tribute to the molded bonnet head version of this doll imo. (buyer can add vintage undies and socks). See photo of an actual advertisement Showing THIS EXACT FACTORY ORIGINAL DRESS!
She features a solid dome head. She has very nicely painted hazel/brown eyes, and 4 carved (dimensional)  and painted teeth. She has a small hole on top of head that had the wig possibly nailed into. Excellent hands and feet. The paint on this doll has survived years with no chipping or repaint, cracking, lifting...which is pretty remarkable!
