Description

BENDIX KING Corp BK RADIO VHF Police Fire Handheld EPH5101A w/ Working Battery
I inherited this from the estate of a retired Police radio technician and avid ham radio enthusiast and collector. Selling this item as found and as is. The radio powers on (the orange button on top comes on (see photos) but this may indicate a low battery. It has NOT been tested beyond this because I am unfamiliar with the product as well as it likely requires reprogramming since this was obsolete equipment from a sheriffs department in lower Michigan. There is a keyboard that is covered on the front of the display by default but I have taken this panel off for the purpose of showing as much as possible relating to this item so please see all photos close-up for more details.
I have included a manual for the EPH Series which indicates that this is a 40 channel narrowband radio with a frequency range of 148-174MHz. I have also included the antenna that was on this radio when I inherited it.
The battery (model LAA 105; Nickel Cadmium Rechargeable Battery Pack 10 Volts DC) no longer has a charge and I have no way to charge it.
The back of the handheld device contains the following information:
FCC ID K95LT20001
BK RADIO, INC.
Made in USA
Model/SN: EPH5101A 449281
